The Climate Justice Torch

Our organization was proud to be a part of the Climate Justice Torch March in Marrakech, which was organized in partnership with AESVT and the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance. This initiative was a critical step in engaging young environmental activists and civil society organizations from across Africa in the negotiations leading up to COP27. By strengthening their negotiating capacities and knowledge, and bringing them closer to the most important climatic challenges faced by African communities, the Climate Justice Torch has played a vital role in shaping the conversation around climate justice at COP27.

During the march in Marrakech, we were able to raise our voices and highlight the urgent need for climate action, particularly with regard to climate change adaptation, climate finance, loss and damage, and migration issues in African countries. By passing through several African countries, including Morocco, Kenya, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Climate Justice Torch has been able to draw attention to the unique challenges faced by these communities and the critical importance of ensuring that their voices are heard in the global conversation on climate change. As the Torch makes its way to COP27 in Egypt, we look forward to continuing to be a part of this important initiative and advocating for climate justice on behalf of our communities and the planet.

COY17

During COY17, our youth-led NGO played a vital role in contributing to the development of youth-led solutions to climate change. Our team facilitated workshops and training sessions, providing young people with the knowledge and skills they need to engage in climate action. Additionally, we had the opportunity to share our own experiences as a youth-led organization, highlighting the importance of youth-led initiatives in combating climate change. By fostering a space for capacity building and policy training, COY17 played a crucial role in empowering young people to take an active role in shaping the global response to climate change. Our organization’s participation in COY17 was a testament to our commitment to empowering young people and contributing to the development of a new generation of leaders who are dedicated to creating a sustainable future for all.

COP27

Our organization’s engagement at COP27 was a crucial step in our ongoing commitment to climate action. We spent a year preparing for this conference, engaging in research, collaboration, and activism to ensure that our contributions would be meaningful and impactful. Our delegation to COP27 was part of our broader efforts to support young activists and youth-led organizations that prioritize social impact and environmental sustainability. As a green youth-led organization, we are dedicated to developing innovative and sustainable solutions that can help mitigate the effects of climate change and protect our planet. At COP27, we had the opportunity to showcase our work, share our knowledge, and collaborate with other organizations to develop new strategies and approaches to climate action. We believe that our engagement at COP27 was a critical step in creating a more sustainable future for all, and we are committed to continuing our efforts to address the urgent threat of climate change.
